Lucky escape for two drivers in Yass

An accident involving two cars occurred near the new Landmark building around one o’clock on Tuesday November 3.

No one appeared to be hurt, but traffic was obliged to use just one lane. Landmark Copeland Medway staff guided traffic until the Yass Police arrived.

Harden Shire Council has been announced as recipients of a share of $64,000 to assist in the Jugiong Flood Risk Management Study and Plan currently being undertaken.

Boorowa Council has voted to re-introduce the town’s alcohol free zone. The move came after acting general manager Therese Mann recommended the council establish the zone in the town.

Spring may be upon us but according to weather forecasts the wintry weather hasn’t left yet. While dams are now overflowing and creeks are running it appears the wet weather will continue into the spring giving farmers much needed hope that it will be a great harvest.

Boorowa Council has endorsed the replacement of the shire’s bus. At the Boorowa Shire Council meeting on Monday, August 23 acting general manager Therese Mann recommended the council endorse the purchase of a new bus.
