Returning to Wee Jasper last Sunday after a week of hard riding were Paul Evans, Josh Evans, Duncan Menge and Ben Rollison (all pictured) from Sydney. They headed out from Billy Grace Reserve on their postie bikes (plus one ring in) seven days before and wound their way south to Mount Pinnabar - Australia's highest legal road, or as Paul, the senior member of the group, likes to put it "the real road to heaven".
This is the third time they've done the trip on their faithful postie bikes and they vow to be back again in the future. Their route takes them from Wee Jasper into Kosciuszko National Park and through Australia's magnificent high country.
Normally the postie bikes plough their way boldly through the snow at this time of the year, the warmer conditions this season meant no snow but sleeping out in the open was a little more pleasant than previous years. The group also made use of the few remaining mountain huts still in existence.
For professional photographers Josh and Ben the annual trip is always a great opportunity to get some interesting shots and capture images of Australia's most spectacular landscape.
