The annual Legacy Bowls day was a success, with brilliant bowls played in a friendly atmosphere. The laughter throughout the games was the highlight of the day. Legacy would like to thank their sponsor of the day Warren Hall from FL Kelly and Co.

The teams were neck and neck in the final stages of the game with Greg’s team scoring one on the final end to take the win.
(Individuals)
The day saw some brilliant individual bowling from some new bowlers. Ross Webster was a force to be reckoned with and matched it all the way with the more experienced bowlers. Anne-Marie Bruce played a great role as lead in her team and continues to improve each week. Young Allex Goode played some exceptional bowls for such a young man and his skip Rodney Wilson was impressed. Jennifer Willson also played well after a long absence from the game. Wayne Goode had his eye in early in the day playing some great shots and Carly Scanes played well but took a while to adjust to her new bowls. New bowlers Bob Richardson and Ray England also had a great day.
(Best of the worst)
You didn’t have to win the day to be rewarded with a prize. Maybe this should be called the sympathy award. There were two teams that couldn’t be separated with two losses and minus 25 points. The team of Ted Maher, Don Bayley and N Howard, along with Ron Howard and John Bruce may use the excuse of subbing players due to work and golf commitments for their bottom of the table finish, but what was Reo Bruce, Leanne Goode and Arnold Bush’s excuse. This team started the day off brilliantly and were well in the money early on, but as the day grew longer the wheels fell off and they could only manage in helping the opposition by knocking their bowls out to give the opposition the advantage. Leanne is now wearing a polar neck skivvy to cover the rope burns.
Once again a big thankyou to our sponsor, Warren Hall of FL Kelly and Co. Without your kind donations the day wouldn’t have been the success it was. It was a great family day out with mothers playing with their children and brothers and sisters doing battle.
(Thinking of you)
The Yass Bowling community are thinking of Sue and Arnold Bush and their family at this sad time. Our thoughts and love are with you.
