The ever popular Bundaberg Rum PBR Bull ride will return to Yass this November after a taking the town by storm in 2007.
Pro bull-riders, including Ben Seeds and Queensland’s Jock Connolly, will ride some of the nation’s wildest beasts as they compete for some $10,000 prize money.
Last year, spectators resorted to climbing trees, fences and toilet blocks to get a look at some of Australia’s leading cowboys tackle some of the fiercest bulls in the game. This year will be no different.
Kempsey’s Pete Farley was a surprise packet in Yass last year, finishing first from a star-studded line-up. Farley held off Victoria’s Chris McPhee and Queensland’s Michael Chapman to claim the honours.
Talented rider Ben Seeds leads the race in 2008, having won just over $17,000 to date this year.
The touring pro is pencilled in for November 8 at the Yass Showground. Tickets are $20 adult ($15 pre-booked), $10 children (under 18) and $40 for a family pass (two adults, two kids). Gates open 3pm, entertainment from 5pm, before the bull riding begins at 6.30pm. Tickets available at Martins General Store.
Country musician Matt Scullion will be among the list of entertainers adding to the atmosphere on the night.
After huge success in 2007, PBR Touring Pro is set to return to Yass, hoping to be bigger and better.
