Fire closes school

Yass High School will be closed tomorrow after a fire tore through the industrial arts section of the school early Saturday morning.

The school will not be operational throughout Monday because electricity could not be restored to the site

The Department of Education and Communities said there will be supervision at the Baptist Church if parents can’t find another alternative.

Teachers will also meet at the church hall to work out a strategy for the rest of the week.
