School is back in session

The power is still cut to the school after a fire destroyed the industrial arts precinct early Saturday morning.

Years seven, 10 and 11 will have activities at alternate sites from tomorrow. Years eight and nine will go back to class from Thursday.

“The school is very grateful to our partner schools and community groups who have made this alternative organisation possible,” principal Sandra Hiscock said.

Parents can also call school administration on 0428 812 120.

Year seven will be based at the Baptist Hall on Laidlaw Street. The class will also participate in a swim school between 11.30am and 1.15pm.

Year 10 will be based at Yass Public School (Laidlaw Street) and will continue their community projects for 'Do Good Friday'. This may involve working at various venues around town as explained in previous notes to parents about this initiative. In the afternoon, year 10 students will take part in recreational activities at the local pool.

Year 11 will return to their academic studies at Berinba Public School. Lessons will be delivered all week with English, maths and science teachers joining them on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Years eight and nine will resume activities and lessons on Thursday and Friday. Year eight will have lessons and sport on Thursday afternoon. Year nine will take part in peer support training on Thursday and Friday, venues to be advised.
