Hitting the city for New Years?

Police in the ACT will be targeting anti-social behaviour, impaired driving and underage drinking in the city tonight.

Superintendent Brett Kidner warned those planning to drink excessively are putting themselves and their friends at risk.

“We want people to party safely and remain in control of their actions and the safety of their friends and families,” Superintendent Kidner said.

Police will be out on the roads to pick up anyone who makes a decision to drink and drive.

They will also be monitoring CCTV of the New Year’s celebrations in Garema Place.
