2012: A year in review

From flooding rains to high school fires, 2012 has been a big year in news for the Yass Valley.

Water rushed from Burrinjuck Dam (right) in March when the region received record rainfall. The dam topped at almost 110 per cent during the flood event, which went on to cause havoc downstream for Murrumbidgee River communities.

However, it wasn’t all bad news and natural disasters, the Yass Valley hosted several fantastic events throughout the year, including Classic Yass, the Murrumbateman Field Days and many more.
