Be a mate to the environment on Sunday and join the Yass musos and mates Clean Up Australia Day crew, or create your own.
Yass Valley Council has given the thumbs up for any park or pathway in Yass, Murrumabteman and surrounding villages to be a clean-up site.
The musos and mates crew will be swapping strings, horns and drum sticks for gloves, garbage bags and goodwill to bag up mess at Riverside Park and make it sing!
Councillor Jasmin Jones, official site supervisor, said it was a great chance to make sure public areas looked their best.
“Our beautiful riverside park and the great foot and cycle path around the river is a real jewel in our town's recreation and tourist crown,” Ms Jones said.
“You never know, there could be some impromptu good music afterwards!”
