The weather wasn’t perfect but lots of fish were snagged and the feedback from visitors has been positive.
There were 42 teams that took part, travelling from as far afield as Shepparton in the south and Moree in the north.
On Friday and Saturday Burrinjuck got very strong gusty winds which saw many boats being swamped with waves when returning after the first fishing session on Saturday morning. Sunday again brought rain.
It wasn’t the greatest weather for a weekend of fishing but it did add to the fun.
Burrinjuck fished well considering the impact of the weather, with 155 fish brought back to the weigh master.
The average length was 39.4 cm. All fish were released.
This year saw the introduction of the skins type format, which seems to be a real hit with anglers.
