Deakin proved to be the stronger team and were too good on the day for the Yass/Bungendore side. Last week the Yass/Bungendore team joined the winner's circle again, knocking off Youani. Both the Yass bowlers (K Grace, J Keith, B Davis)and their Bungendore counterparts won their matches on a day made extremely difficult by the strong wind.
On Friday the first of the Club Pairs matches was played, it was another very windy day, M Holston and AM Bruce defeated K Grace and H Barton. Two matches were played on Saturday. Elsie Shaw and Tracey Thomas were 15-all on the last end so an extra end had to be played and they had the winning shot. W Bingley and L Scott had a good win against P Knox and C Hunt. The semi finals began on Sunday morning, Elsie and Tracey had a very good game and they won 18-13. At midday S Bush and M Bush began to play W Bingley and L Scott but with only two ends to play heavy rain began to fall, they waited for a while but decided to finish the two ends next Thursday afternoon.

Remember that the Ladies Christmas party will be on December 14, bowls will be played at 10am followed by our Christmas lunch.
