Three cars roll in separate incidents

A 21-year-old man was fined for negligent driving after a single-vehicle accident on Kaveney's Road, Murrumbateman at 5.30am Monday. Police said he reportedly looked down to change the radio station and upon looking up, swerved to avoid colliding with a kangaroo. The Toyota Hilux rolled several times. The man was not injured.

A 19-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and rolled her car several times before coming to rest in a ditch, on Dalton Road at Gunning at 5am on Saturday. Police said the woman was attempting a right-hand bend on an unsealed road when the accident occurred. She was not injured. Police fined her $353 and deducted three demerit licence points for negligent driving.

A 29-year-old driver was taken to The Canberra Hospital with neck and back injuries after she lost control of her vehicle, rolled down an embankment and side-swiped three trees on Thursday. Police said the woman had been travelling south on the Barton Highway at Murrumbateman at about 5.40pm when she bent down to pick up something from the front passenger side of the vehicle. She lost control and the vehicle swerved off the road. Police fined her for negligent driving.
