Yass rugby

Yass rugby union looked better than ever at the weekend, with both the Rams and Hoggets chalking up wins.

Coming up against Cooma, the Rams looked the goods from the outset.

Two tries from Jordan Wind and Luke Darmody, as well as tries from Ben Downey and Adam Forth meant the result was never in doubt.

Scott Farthing also proved reliable with the boot, slotting over four goals.

Final score: Yass 34 defeated Cooma 7.

The reserve grade Hoggets also had a good win in the curtain raiser at Victoria Park eventually running over the top of Cooma, 26 points to 10. James Wellington, Stu Wallace, Luke Donnelly and Matt Giles all got over the line while Luke Donnelly slotted three goals.
