‘Rocket’ flies in

Bowning parents Connie Elliott and Jamie Miners had a surprising day last Friday, when their newest family member decided to make a rapid entrance into the world.

Connie had attended Yass Hospital and then Calvary the evening before, but decided to go home when the baby seemed content not to make an appearance.

But the next day it was all systems go.

Labour pains began at 11.15am, and Justice-Jay entered the world less than an hour and a half later, arriving – in the family bathroom – three minutes before the ambulance arrived.

Proud dad, Jamie, was there to catch him.

Mother and baby were thoroughly checked out and are doing great.

A home birth in Bowning doesn’t happen every day of the week, so older siblings Taylor-Lea (14) and Jasmine-Sky (6) will have some exciting news to share at school this week.
