Customers were disappointed to find McDonalds in Yass closed this afternoon.
McDonalds on the Hume Highway in Yass was closed this afternoon.
A sign hung on the door apologising to customers for any inconvenience and said the fast food outlet in Yass was "closed today".
A spokeswoman from McDonalds Head Office said the store was closed for routine cleaning but was now open.
Licensee Steve Leddin answered the phone at McDonalds in Yass but did not want to make a comment.
Mr Leddin's two other stores in Gundagai and Tumut were operating as normal.
School holidays are typically busy for the restaurant chain and customers were disappointed to be turned away this afternoon.
