When Quentin Bryce voiced her opinion in favour of a republic, she lost the respect I had for her. In fact, I was disgusted.
I understand the position of governor general in Australia is to represent the queen and shouldn't that be a requisite?
Why did she accept the position, let alone hold it for full term?
Was it just for a pleasurable job tripping around the world pretending an allegiance to the Queen, when her belief was otherwise?
Being dubbed a 'dame' I think is undeserved.
