John Barilaro may be "sick and tired of NSW being ACT's junkyard". I, on the other hand, am sick and tired of elected representatives making ill-informed statements based on the whinging of a small minority.
It is my firm belief that the majority of your constituents support renewable energy. Most of your constituents believe that we are Australians first and foremost rather than New South Welshmen or Territorians. We understand enough about climate science to realise that pollution does not stop at state or even national boundaries; you obviously do not.
The NSW and federal governments are abusing the trust put in them at the most recent elections. You are supposed to be the custodians of the country for all Australians and for all generations. Your position in respect of the ACT's renewable energy targets is childish and petty politics.
Sadly it is consistent with other recent short-sighted decision making at both the state and federal levels. Greed and aligned interest groups are being put before a sustainable future.
Quantity of life for some is being put before quality of life for all.
