I'm surprised that you haven't had a flood of approvals in response to your story in The Trib of March 28, "Council buys art with a message" to recognise the unique work called 'Forgotten 2004'.
A near neighbour of mine has a pear tree from which he's hung a number of CDs to scare away the birds and I think that it could also be bought by the Council and named "Remembered - 2014" as a statement on the ever changing face of technology and the associated destruction of our natural environment, artistically placed against a background of wind turbines.
It should be worth a few thousand dollars itself and be an acceptable addition to the artistic life of our town as a growing and living work which, in the right season, even produces pears!
