While the group 1 pair line up in the All Aged Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, That's A Good Idea is at the bottom of the weights in the Hall Mark Stakes.

"His autumn has been ruin by the wet tracks," Pride said. "He just doesn't handle them at all. I thought he would be running the better races by now but you just can't judge him on what you have seen this prep.

"We have had a great carnival but he stands out as the one that we didn't see the best of.

"I'm sure his time will come in the spring. I'm sure he will win his share of group races – he is too good not to.

"He gets a dry track on Saturday against a smart field, so judge him on that run."

That's A Good Idea has been in the betting in each of his four runs, starting in the Southern Cross Stakes at Randwick back in February, in which he could manage only fourth.

"That was the best track he has got and it was my fault," Pride said. "He usually takes a run to find his best and needs blinkers but I didn't have them on him that day.

"The next run he was on a 'slow' and just got run down, then missed the start at Rosehill and last time ... well, it was heavy, so forget about it.

"He will probably have a break after Saturday and come back in the spring."

The frustration about That's A Good Idea was tempered by Steps In Time's Coolmore Classic win and Tiger Tees getting the cash in The Galaxy.

Pride is hoping Steps In Time can go out a winner in the All Aged Stakes after failing on the wet track in the T.J. Smith.

"It is probably her last run before going to stud and it is at what you would think is her optimum trip. On the improved ground, she should be able to to get back to her best."

Tiger Tees back backed up his Galaxy success by then running on into fourth in the T.J. Smith on the wet track last time.

"He is certainly one that the wet track isn't a problem for," Pride said. "As we get to toward the end of the carnival it becomes a bit of last man standing and that suits him because he is very tough."
