A man will face court after a random breath test led police to locating the illicit drug ‘speed’ in a car at Yass on Friday night.

About 7.50pm on Friday, Goulburn Highway Patrol officers stopped a Holden Commodore travelling north on the Barton Highway for a random breath test.
With the assistance of a police dog, officers searched a female passenger and the vehicle.
Police located four resealable plastic bags containing a crystalline substance believed to be amphetamines, commonly known as ‘speed’.
The driver, a 28-year-old man from Queanbeyan, was arrested and taken to Yass Police Station.
He was charged with drive whilst disqualified, supply false particulars, and possess prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Goulburn Local Court on Saturday where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Yass Local Court on Monday July 21.
The female passenger was released without charge.
