Last Saturday it was nice to see that the sun actually does shine on weekends and the sun shone for Rob Field and Chris Bradley who managed to win the Mac Digital American Foursomes competition by a quarter of a shot from Phil White and Tim Kelly.

They only won by handicap as both pairings came in with 72 off the stick. Congratulations to Rob and Chris for picking up another paired event together and the other 24 pairs that competed. Also thanks must go to Mick Carey for his greatly appreciated and continued sponsorship of this event. On Sunday, Phil White continued his good form of late by winning the Super Sunday stroke event - sponsored by Firth Furnishing with his 66 net. Phil managed to win by a shot from Mick Coggan and Wayne Biddle, who both finished with 67 net scores.

Mid-week competition to July 20:
Winner: Kevin Mann (14) 20 points. Runner-up: Edgar mongan (11) 19 points. Ball winners: D Carmody, K Mann, A MacIntyre, W Whyte, P White and V Guica all with 18 points.
Dad's Army results for July 17: Only four brave souls faced the wintry conditions on Thursday last week in the Dad's Army competition with Rod 'Plucker' Perceval being declared the winner on a very low scoring morning with 11 points. The scoring ranged from 11 down to seven points. Hope that conditions are better for golf next week. Coming events:
