“(I have) no issues with him. I don’t know where that’s coming from but like I said, we’re fine,” Waite told Channel Seven’s Talking Footy.

Waite, who played a starring role in the Blues’ surprise win over North Melbourne in round 18, is out of contract at the end of the season. Despite his inconsistent form, colleague and key forward Michael Jamison said Waite was an important member of the team.

Waite said his manager was looking after negotiations at Carlton but there was nothing to report just yet.

“I’ve just got to concentrate on the next five weeks and play some really good footy for the team. I’m sure if that happens, it will sort itself out.”
