The Black and White Ball held at the Murrumbateman Country Inn Saturday August 23 was a huge success. With 120 tickets sold on the night it was well supported by both Yass and Murrumbateman locals.

$13,000 was raised with all the funds to go to Cystic Fibrosis Australia, to assist in further research into finding a cure for this genetic disease.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as a local girl who suffers from CF kept the audience spellbound as she outlined her daily routine and her life experiences with the disease.
The Itchy Triggers rocked the night with four sets of classic Rock. In between sets were raffles, jelly bean guessing and games.
The main auction was run by Jason Scott of LJ Hooker Kippax, ably assisted by staff from their office. LJ Hooker also donated a $2000 holiday voucher which was the main auction item of the night.

The ‘Great Escape’ rally begins September 7, driving to Melbourne before joining the Spirit of Tasmania to cross Bass Strait, finishing in Hobart on September 18.
Greg Breen and Paul Bradley’s goal is to be the number one fund raising vehicle again this year and aim at hitting their overall target of $30,000. The Great Escape car rally should come close to $500,000 in donations for Cystic Fibrosis Australia.
