School news
Help support the Year 6 fundraiser this Saturday by purchasing goodies from the cake stall running in Yass. Drawn at the cake stall will be the winners of the raffle. With first prize a load of unseasonal wood, second movie tickets and third a $20 voucher to Barneys at Bookham. A big thank you goes to Vin and Vicky O'Brien who run the café at Irvine's Square, they are donating 50 cents from every pie sold from the café.
If you would like to support the school in other ways a donation of dough for the clay electives supply is running low. For the students to be creative a good amount is required and if this is something you can help with, donations would be appreciatively received.
Birthdays
Birthday wishes this week are sent out to AJ O'Mara and Kim Turner.
Bowning Sevens
The Bowning Sevens competition is being held on Saturday September 13. The competition will be divided into two grades, with A-Grade being held at Bowning and Binalong Ovals and B-Grade being contested at Binalong Oval.
Bowning Hotel will host the presentations; this will be a night of great food, fun and entertainment with a courtesy bus available. Help support Bowning and get involved.
Mobile library
The mobile library will be at Edith's Store on September 3 and 17, if you have books needing to be returned and keep forgetting when in Yass this is the perfect opportunity to do so along with borrowing from the wonderful selection on hand.
Mini Music and play group
Mini Music, and Bowning and Friends Play Group send 'Get Well' wishes to all our lovely families who are in at home with cold and flu symptoms. Mini Music is run on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm and the play group is run on Thursdays and Fridays from 9.30am-11.30am, ready for those who are well enough to visit our beautiful village.
Rollonin Café
Please mark the date in your diary: Sunday, November 16. 'A Country Fair' held at the Rollonin Café in conjunction with Can Assist will help families struggling with the effect of cancer.
The Rollonin also has quite a collection of books for sale costing a gold coin donation each; this money is again to help Can Assist support families.
Keep well to all.
