There's no doubt it's an MPCM (Major Pop Culture Moment), akin to Luke Skywalker meeting Captain James T. Kirk, or Batman meeting  Spider-Man, or Crocodile Dundee meeting Kath and Kim. But should it have happened? I say no. The makers of The Simpsons should not have agreed to a joint episode with Family Guy. The shows have very different audiences, and both are likely to be disappointed, annoyed and offended.
