A healthy mix of players, family, friends, committee and life members attended the lavish ceremony which celebrated the two senior teams of Yass in 2014.
Ant Broers, who was MC for the night, was also the major winner, being honoured with Life Membership of Yass Rugby League. The vice-president was "lost for words" when presented with the blazer from best mate Scott Waters, and also received the Clubperson of the Year accolade.
Other award winners for the Magpies included: Josh Newling (Player of the Year and Players' Player); Matt Smith (Coach's Award); Jai Smith (Most Consistent); Josh Hall (Best Forward); Kaden Rawlinson (Best Back); and Marc Townsend (Most Improved).
The Girlpies were all presented with trophies by coach Ben Wylie for their inaugural year in the George Tooke touch football competition, but the special award winners were: Liana Wylie (Players' Player); Drew Macarthur (Most Consistent); Sartu Beck (Endeavour and Sportsmanship); and Jess Rootsey (Coach's Award).
