Mobile Library
The team from Yass was in Bowning this week and will return again on Wednesday October 29 from 3-4pm. Any returns or any requests for borrowing will be happily met so pop in and pay a visit.
Letter box drop
In the next week all Bowning addresses will receive flyers letting you know what is happening in the village. Coming up we have the Halloween Trail and Disco on October 31, BPA Catch –Up held at the Bowning Hotel on November 13, A Country Fair held at the Rollonin on November 16, Bowning Family Fun Day on November 30 and The Bowning Kids Christmas Party on December 14. This should keep all Bowning folk informed and up to date.
Service at St James
A service will be held on October 26 at the St James Church. It will be followed with morning tea at the Rollonin Café where there will be discussions surrounding what's happening with Christmas in and around Bowning this year.
Playgroup
Bowning Playgroup is open on Thursdays and Fridays at the CWA Room from 9.30-11.30am throughout term four. All families and kids from age 0-6 are welcome to attend. Your residential address is not an issue; you do not need to be from Bowning. We welcome families from surrounding areas and find it works beautifully. Also a trip to Questacon for the wee ones and their families is coming up, as well as venturing to the pool upon opening season.
Mini Music
Every Tuesday at the CWA Rooms Mini Music runs from 10am-12pm and entry is free. The theme this month is transport, followed by animals then Christmas.
Entry is free. Craft, music and play is the focus along with sit down and chat time.
Halloween at Vinnies in Yass
If you are looking for costumes for Halloween, Vinnies will be running a special on the day of the event- Friday October 31. If you need a hand to find a costume please let me know in advance and I can help out.

Edith at the general store has been in Bowning for more years than most can remember and I on behalf of the community would like to thank Edith for her tiresome work every single day of the week- ‘Thank You Edith’.
