In the A-grade, Sam Porter leads the field with his 70, followed by Rob Field and Jamie Stanford with 72 and then Mick Bell who came in with a brilliant 74 for his handicap.
In the B-grade, Bernie Puckett showed he wants back to back championships with his 77 to beat his age by one shot for the second time in a couple of years, while Gary Butcher backed up his win in the Guzzler coming in with 82 as did Andrew Winterflood.
In the C-grade, Norm Napper leads with 87, followed by George Manson 88, and Rod Perceval and Bill Scheffler with 90's. It sets up a very open competition, with the top three A-graders all being previous club champions, while in the B and C-grades, almost all the top scoring players have been up there in the championships in previous years.
With that, good luck to all players competing, and even if you’ve already done your dash in the championships as I have, there are always the daily prizes to aim for. For a complete look at the competition rounds, stay tuned on the Yass Golf Club Facebook page, as it will be updated after the competition of the rounds.
In Sunday stableford, Mitchell Deep a junior player from Cootamundra has taken out the money for the second time in as many months with his 43 points, showing he definitely likes the Yass course. Well done Mitchell.

Rod "Plucker" Perceval was the one that ran away with the money as his 18 points didn't get knocked off like last week. Graham Howlett picked up the only ball on offer with 16 points.
