Young, local musicians are being offered the chance to perform live as the support act for chart topping band - In Hearts Wake.
It's an opportunity to experience first hand, the special effects, atmospherics, and industry standard sound production that will be on show at the Indent tour night in Yass.
Councillor Jasmin Jones is excited that the event will give aspiring musicians a sneak peak at stardom and explained that the opportunity is not just limited to the metalcore genre.
"While it would be serendipitous if an emerging local hardcore band could support In Heart's Wake, anything goes. It could be hip hop - it could be any genre in the final mix which does make it exciting. In Heart's Wake management team will give the successful three support acts the final green light,” Cr Jones said.
Yass Valley Youth Council members have had their ear to the ground, spreading the word, headhunting local talent and encouraging bands to enter the running.
"The Youth Councillors will give their mentors at Indent Music NSW their list of favourites so it's turning out to be quite an exciting and involved project for them,” she continued.
Support bands will be paid for the night and successful applicants will be revealed on October 28.
Three acts are required, and to be considered for a spot on the stage, artists can submit or send links to their Facebook, Youtube, website or Soundcloud clips to greg@musicnsw.com or message the Yass Valley Youth Council on Facebook.
In Heart's Wake Indent Tour will be held on November 29 at the Yass Memorial Hall and tickets are available via www.oxtix.com. To buy tickets locally, drop into the Yass Newsagency and stay up to date with the event via inheartswake@memorialhall on Facebook.
