At approximately 9am a Suzuki Swift, with Northern Territory number plates, was travelling north along the Hume Highway. We understand that the vehicle rolled after hitting a guardrail and came to rest on the roof.

The single occupant, a 23-year-old female, was taken to Yass Hospital by paramedics, her condition is not yet known. When contacted by the Tribune, Sergeant Tom Lawless of the Yass Police hadn’t interviewed the driver, so wasn’t in a position to make a comment. Lane 1 of the Hume Highway was closed for a short period but has since re-opened.
