The Turner residence, at 200 Lachlan Valley Way, will be open on November 8 and 9, and will be raising money for CanAssist.
The Turners will guide visitors through the gardens of their ‘Silverdale’ villa, taking in the aromas of the roses, soaking in the delicious textures of the variegated pittosporum diosma and grey hedging. The key feature on the property is the 160-year-old olive tree which has been harvested for the last few years and the award winning oil is for sale on the weekend.
Jim and Erica Cuthbertson’s 11 acre property lay at the heart of the Yass Valley River, a 533 Yass River Road, and largely consists of orchids.
Boasting 700 roses of various varieties, the property is alive with water features and vibrant colours, the couple encourage visitors to sit on their swinging seats to take in the beautiful views towards the Mundoona Range and the Yass River.
The orchid area sprouting olives, hazelnuts, truffles and pomegranates, produce many great crops. The Cuthbertson’s invite people to visit their property November 15 and 16 for a private tour.
