There are a wide range of roles for men or women aged 16 and up. Once training is complete, members may prefer to specialise in catering, communications or community engagement rather than being in a fire front role.
Fire captain Krystaal Hinds invites you to come to training and meet some members at the fire station. Training is on the first Sunday morning of the month and third Wednesday evening.
Call Krystaal on 0418 664 496.
Fab refurb
Thanks to a grant from Origin Energy, the First Gunning Scout Group has refurbished the Scout Hall.
The gutter has been fixed up and the floor boards are now beautifully polished. Thanks go to Scout leader Phil Waine who did a brilliant job.
Council's budget
If you believe that Upper Lachlan Shire Council should be spending money (or more money) on certain activities or facilities you have the opportunity to make a submission. The Draft Operational Plan 2015-2016 has a deadline of Wednesday December 10.
