This is a free of charge group, and organiser Christina Murphy will be providing 'Academy Fit Energisers' to meet everyone and will just be there as a meeting point upon arrival. This is to encourage people to get out and be active.

Murphy decided to start this group when she heard there were a wide range of people who wanted to go for walks but could not motivate themselves or wanted it to be more of a social activity.

You don't have to walk as a big group, but rather go at your own pace, enjoy the camaraderie or pop your ear phones in. And if you’re super keen you can speed it up to a jog or run!

When: Monday - Friday

Start times: Mornings at 6am and evenings at 7pm.

Meeting place: River Bank Park (play equipment area).

Walk length: To begin 1 - 3 laps of the river, this will be up to your capabilities and time restraints. Longer walking routes are available and can be pointed out by an Academy Fit Energiser. Once these groups are up and running, different routes, variations and lengths will change to challenge and keep it interesting.
