Receiving the Scout Medallion is the culmination of four years of hard work for Kali. This included lots of camping, adventurous activities, leadership training courses, team building activities and an enjoyable three-day hike through the Blue Mountains. She is the first Yass Scout to accomplish this in the 10 years the award has existed.
Kali received her medallion on Wednesday November 5 at the Scout Hall in Yass in front of the Scout group, leaders from Yass Group, Scouts Regional Commissioner, Councillor Geoff Frost and family and friends who have supported her throughout her journey.
Kali will attend a presentation in Sydney in 2015 and be presented with a certificate from the Governor of NSW.
Scouts cater for children over 7 up to 18 across cubs, scouts and venturers.
