It getting to that time of the year when the scores are reflecting the dryer conditions with some impressive scores coming in off the course. Last Saturday it was Gary Butcher and Ian Bluett who had 43 points each to take out the A and B-grade competition prizes for the day in what was an excellent day for scoring and 38 points required to take home a ball. Well done Gary and Ian.

In the Super Sunday stroke event, it was a small group of keen golfers that ventured into unknown and it was the Sunday specialist who came out ahead once again in Ryan Greig. Ryan’s 62 Net took the prize for the day as well as picking up the bonus Super Pin on the eighth hole. Unsurprisingly Ryan has continued to lose a handicap shot per round, now down to 26. Keep it up Ryan and you’ll be a scratch player by February 14, next year.
This weekend we have two trophies up for grabs, with Saturday being the Captains verses Presidents Cup and then on Sunday the Mixed Foursomes Championship. Last year, Mick’s Presidents team was victorious over, Nev's Captains side, so the pressure is on Mick to reduce the 3-1 score that stands currently. Sunday’s Mixed Foursomes Championships is the final championship trophy for the year, before the presentation night being held next Friday, November 28. All members are welcome to attend, so please book your seats.
On Friday evenings at the Golf Club, we hold our meat raffles from 6pm with all members and guests welcome to join us and enjoy a beverage or a meal from Gil and Sue in the restaurant. Also on Friday nights there is a pool competition from 7pm. Our major raffle for this year being a 65 inch Samsung curved screen TV with Blu-ray player is being drawn on Friday the 28th, so get along and get your tickets.

Peter Anderson won a ball with 17 points as did Ian Bluett and Kevin Mann after they were able to win the three way count back with 16 points each. Scoring ranged from 19 down to 12 points.
