A 35-year-old man has been charged with drug supply after he and an accomplice were caught with more than one kilogram of cannabis. The men were parked on Lachlan Valley Way near Bowning at the railway corridor at 12.05am yesterday when they were approached by police. A subsequent search of their white Ford Falcorn uncovered the drugs. The man will appear at Yass Local Court on January 6.

Filled up and fled
A man believed to be in his 40s didn't pay for $73 of fuel at the Yass Service Centre at 10.05am on Monday. He was driving a white holden station wagon. He filled up the car, walked into the shop but left shortly after without paying. He was wearing white shorts and a striped t-shirt. Anyone with information is urged to contact Yass Police on 6226 9399.
Speeding driver fined
A 19-year-old man was caught exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h at the corner of the Hume Highway and Yellow Creek Road on November 20. The Victorian was driving a white Volkswagen Golf and was pulled over at about 8.50pm. He was fined and his licence was suspended on the spot.
Sheep go missing
Thirty-five Merino ewes went missing some time between September 12 and November 5 on a property at Binalong. Police believe they have been stolen. Anyone with information is urged to contact Yass Police on 6226 9399.
Offensive behaviour leads to arrest
A 36-year-old man was charged with assaulting police and resisting arrest after he used offensive behaviour outside a house on Orion Street on November 20 at 10.50am. He was issued a court attendance notice.
Tyres deflated
Sometime between 9pm on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday all four tyres on a Black Mazda parked on Orion Street, were deflated. Police believe it may be related to a year 12 party that was occurring nearby. Anyone with information is urged to contact Yass Police on 6226 9399.
Water stolen
A water pump and around 20,000 litres of water was stolen from an unoccupied property on Yass River Road sometime between November 12 and Sunday. The pump was disconnected and the water, believed to be worth around $1500, was then drained. Call 6226 9399 if you have information.
