The show of family, friends and community support was outstanding on Monday evening at the Bowning Public School Presentation Night. Awards were presented to students, in a speech Marnie Pack, the 2014 P&C President, summed up the meaning of a community; harmony, spirit and respect are the words that rang through. Speeches by Clare Pritchard and this year’s school captains were heart-warming and extremely positive. The students’ performance was well-rehearsed and enjoyed by all. Congratulations to Bowning School for providing a wonderfully respectful and well-presented evening.

Sponsors and Members Day is back on this Saturday at the Bowning Oval. Due to wet weather last weekend the day was postponed but all is looking good and the Buffs are ready to go.
As a tradition the Bowning Kids Christmas is happening again. Our kids are blessed with a community who wish to celebrate Christmas in true kids party style. Santa will pay a visit giving gifts to the children whose parents/caregivers have contacted his appointed head Elves before-hand only. There will be fun with old school games and the ever famous tractor ride. Remember if you wish for your child/children to attend please contact 0434 400 909 or 0423 771 304 to avoid disappointment.
To have an event such as this in our little village is a blessing, not only do we all get to sing along with our favourite carols we also get to see and hear our younger community sharing their love and knowledge of Christmas. Chairs will be provided but you are more than welcome to bring along your picnic blankets and chairs. A barbecue and delicious coffee will be available for all. The event starts at 6pm on Tuesday, with the carols starting at 6.30pm at the St James Church Grounds. If weather isn't pleasant the Carols will take place at the Community Village Hall. Call 0427 976 112 for more.
The Post and Rail Entry way is taking shape, the gates are being made up and installation will be a turning point for this project. There will be new trees and a ‘Maintenance Program’ is being organised. It is all coming together and a big thank you Jamie Miners for volunteering his time to build the Post and Rail Entry and organising the gates and signs.
Keep Well To All
