TUESDAY was Binalong turn to host the 3rd round of the 49th Shine Shield. Rain, hail or shine with approximately 300 people from Harden, Yass, Jugiong and Binalong to compete in the Shine Shield Carnival.

It was such a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to swim and participate in a fun and friendly atmosphere . It was great to see people from the different communities making new friendship and catching up with old friends and watching the small child swim there first 25 metre event and the young at heart also competing.
This event is a credit to each town to keep such a great holiday event running, it was designed to give kids and family members who don’t get to go on holidays a chance to assimilate within the different communities and the Binalong Community is looking forward to 2016 and celebrating 50years.
Organisers would like to thank volunteers in Binalong and surrounding communities that volunteer their time well done, without the volunteers, events like this wouldn't happen.
