The junior tournament, held at both the Hume and Yass Lawn tennis clubs, included youngsters between the age of 10 and 17.
Hume Tennis Club (HTC) president David Thornley was more than happy with the turn out.
"It was perfect weather for tennis and it was good to see so many kids playing," he said.
"But there was also some really fantastic tennis on show and the competition was fairly close."
Thornley noted the 13 and under girls final was one to remember.
"Those girls were so small but geez they could hit the ball."
Along with a number of locals, competitiors came from Canberra, Cootamundra, Wagga Wagga, Griffith and Tumut.
The tournament ran from 8.30am until about 3pm and notable Yass Valley performers were Katya Everson who was runner-up in the 17 and under girls, Murrumbateman's Jonty Godfrey, who won the under 13 boys and Ben Thornley, who was runner-up in the same competition.
"That was great to see some local kids do well, and we had our new coach Scott (Eulenstein) there, too, and he was really happy with what he saw."
Plans are already underway to host the same competition in 2016.
"There's no doubt we want to do it again, it's great for Yass and it's always exciting to host events like this one," Mr Thornley said.
