There have also been a few taken on bait such as scrub worms and yabbies. Beautiful days at the moment after a chilly start. Don’t expect to catch more than one or two fish a day. This week’s rain may stir up the fish, but there would not have been too many creeks flowing with most of the rain soaking in.
Yellow belly: a quieter week this week but we certainly had a lot less boats chasing fish. Bait fishing on the trees remains the best option or try rolling the plastics vertically through the structure. Shrimp, small yabbies or worms are the go.
There have been a few fish taken on the troll but it is generally tough going. Most reports have been coming from Scrubby downstream to the main basin.
Redfin: are quiet with only the odd fish being caught.
Carp: plenty being caught on worms, corn and bread. Or even fly.
Park news: we will be hosting a band and several singers on the Saturday afternoon of Easter from 4pm. The stage will be set up the same as last year opposite the phone boxes. Bring a blanket, chair and food and enjoy the free four-hour concert. Fires will also be allowed from April 1. Wood from the store or bring your own. Fires must be in a bucket or fireplace.
