Lewis Ferguson amazingly walked away from a spectacular fall in a Wincanton jumps race in Europe overnight after flipping twice from his mount as it attempted to negotiate the final hurdle.

The 18-year-old, having just his fifth professional ride, was narrowly clear of the field on favourite Merrion Square when the horse appeared to change direction rapidly sending Ferguson tumbling from the saddle.
He was launched into the fence and then spectacularly somersaulted twice before crashing back first into the turf.
The damage? Apparently nothing as Ferguson rose to his feet and walked back into the mounting yard.
"It was amazing," Wincanton's clerk of the course Barry Johnson told The Guardian. "I've never seen anything like it. It was certainly the worst fall I've seen and I'm just glad he's all right because I feared the worst.
"He walked into the parade ring and was chatting away as if nothing had happened, calm as you like."
Ferguson's Twitter bio preaches the motto "Pain is temperory [sic]! Victory is forever!"
