Soul in Bowning
‘Soul in the Bush’ is all about going out to serve. While camping in the capital and travelling out to townships to help with practical projects such as Mural painting at the Bowning Hall public amenities. With five delightfully positive young ladies and their team leader lovingly helped by three of our local youth a very beholding mural was created. As mentioned before the mural design was based around a drawing by our local lad Rheese Payne. With his contribution and the creative thinking by our energetic group, Bowning now will always have colour no matter the time of year.
I would like to thank the contribution from the Soul Survivor Team, Yass Valley Council, Stephen Winter, Cyril Cox, Ray Harrington and Helena, painting without your help and contributions to the project would not have been possible.
Mini Music’s Sign of Remembrance
On Wednesday at the library a morning of poppy making took place. Each child made a poppy to wear on Anzac Day. Even though the meaning of the poppy may not be fully understood the children knew it was of importance and completed their crafts with delight, knowing it will be worn on the special day of April 25th.
Bowning Playgroup
Today at 9.30 in the CWA Room children will be making poppies for the opening ceremonial of the Bowning War Memorial. Today is a very important day for our Veterans living and who lived in the Bowning region and a day to be shared by all.
Bowning Family Bush Dance

Please purchase your tickets and help our village reach these goals. Information relating to the skate park will be available on the night and any contributions towards creative ideas or more fundraising ideas are very welcome. I have spoken with our local skaters and I am impressed with their enthusiasm and their future venture ideas and solutions. Keep an eye out for an informative outlook in next week’s Wednesday’s Trib. Bush Dance Ticket prices $20 single ticket and $50 for a family, dinner and supper are included in the tickets prices and a guarantee night of fun. Hope to see as many locals with their families and friends ready to get their groove on.
