All 7 Men’s Teams participated and were backed up by 5 Women’s League Tag Teams.
The teams played three games with the host team having to play a fourth game in both Men’s and Women’s to cater for all teams getting to play their three games.
In the Men’s Competition, Yass defeated Harden, Bungendore, ADFA as well as drawing with ADFA 2 team. Yass drew with Harden in the Women’s competition and then defeated Bungendore, ADFA and Crookwell.
The tension was high in the Men’s competition when it came down to Yass v Harden in one semi- final and ADFA1 v ADFA2 in the second, with Yass and ADFA 1 meeting in the Grand Final.
ADFA1 18 defeated Yass 8 in the final as the extra game, played by Yass, took its toll on their weary bodies.
In the League Tag Final Harden 4 defeated Yass 0.
The day was a huge success, with many teams using it as their final trial before the competition commences May 2, 2015
The ADFA teams are going to add some depth to the George Tooke Competition in 2015 and with Yass, Harden, Bungendore, Crookwell and Boomanulla, the competition will be keenly contested.
It will also be a very exciting season for the Yass Girlpies with Harden, Bungendore, ADFA, Crookwell and Boomanulla making up the teams for the Leaguer Tag Competition.
