The girls were coming off an easy win against Braidwood two weeks ago and they looked even better on Tuesday morning at Walker Park.
Shannon Wright got Yass off to a flying start scoring in just the second minute of the game. Wright latched onto a corner and vollied the ball into the back of the net.
It was the first of a whopping five-goal haul for the left midfielder, who had her hat-trick within the first 20 minutes.
She was well-supported by Lucy Bucknell, Amalie Birkhol and Victoria Alley, who each scored twice.
Coach Craig Barrett said he noticed a real difference in how the girls played on Tuesday, in comparison to their previous matches.
"I think we are using the width of the field much better, our passes seem more crisp and we are playing much smarter as well," he said.
The girls work together during sport hours on a Thursday, and have also begun training sessions every Friday afternoon.
"The girls have shown themselves to be really keen and ... the only girls that aren't showing up are those that have work committments or what not."
He said he has been running the girls through a number of different drills, but has had a focus on passing, defence and working on three against two attacking scenarious. He also said lots of effort has been put into improving corners.
On Monday the girls will travel up the Federal Highway to take on Moss Vale.
"I'm a bit worried that we haven't been truly tested and I'm pretty sure these girls are going to be a step up, so hopefully we can match it with them," Barrett said.
The Tribune wishes the team the best of luck.
