A 46-year-old Yass man has been charged with three separate offences after an incident on the Hume Highway at Yass in March.

An 83-year-old Queensland man died when he stepped out of his car at about 10.45am on March 11. He was hit by a passing truck travelling north, driven by the Yass man, and died at the scene.
The Tribune has been told that on Thursday June 18 the local man was arrested and charged with three offences. He will face court charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and drive vehicle with illicit drug present in blood. He has since been given conditional bail to appear at Yass Local Court on August 4.
Window smashed
A man has returned from a week away to find the rear window of his car, which had been parked at the Yass Railway Station, smashed. He left Yass at midnight on June 13 and discovered the problem when he returned on June 20.
Further inspection of the blue Holden Vectra found that the vehicle’s ignition cover had been removed and the car could no longer start. Forensic police examined the car and investigations are continuing.
Hume Highway crash
A 66-year-old Wagga Wagga man crashed his white Holden Astra on the Hume Highway at Bowning at 10.30am on June 20.
The vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and crossed into the median strip before it flipped on its roof. It eventually came to a stop and the airbags were deployed.
Emergency services attended the accident and he was taken to Yass Hospital suffering a possible broken wrist and other minor injuries. He was later transferred to Canberra Hospital.
Investigations are continuing.
Camera taken from bike
A Canon camera, worth around $500, was taken from the rear of a BMW motorcycle at about 3.30pm on June 10.
A 69-year-old person from Lyons, ACT, had stopped in Comur Street at about 2.45pm and upon returning to the bike found the camera had gone.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information.
Stolen ute
An employee of Yass Valley Council had his Mitsubishi Triton stolen while he was cleaning the public toilets at Banjo Paterson Park on Thursday June 18.
At about 5.25am the man heard his car start outside the toilets and when he ran outside he saw the ute turn right onto Rossi Street. It was last seen on Church Street.
Police have obtained CCTV footage and have described the person in question as of olive skin, between 25-30-years-old, around 175-180cm tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black beanie, black nike jacket, green shirt and blue jeans.

Sheep gone missing
One hundred and fifty four sheep have been stolen from a property on Elms Road at Ladevale. The sheep are a mix of merino, corriedale and a cross of both, and were taken sometime between May 15 and June 16. The total value of the sheep is $15,400. They were last shorn in May.
