The Bowning playgroup will be having another week’s break over the holidays but will start again Term 3 the first Friday back on July 17. Any new families who wish to come along are more than welcome. The cost is $2 per child and bring your own morning tea. We are lucky enough to have a variety of tea and coffee close by so any little person requiring a baby chino is in luck. Doors are open at 9.30am and we have fun until 11.30am. Any further information please message 0423 771 304.

I realise the look of our village is important to a lot of residents and the only way we can keep it up to standards is to do some of the work ourselves. I don’t mean tree trimming or anything which requires permission, I am speaking of the simple picking up of rubbish which has blown in Bowning’s general direction, rubbish from overflowing garbage bins, fast food ‘throw aways’ along the Bowning entry and other everyday litter. We need to take these simple steps of picking up others’ rubbish for the sake of our village and help show council we have pride. If everyone does their share it is a job done easily.
I would like to remind all Bowning dwellers and regular visitors to support our village and shop local. Here in Bowning we are lucky to have a variety of services on offer. These include giftware, coffee, groceries, food venues, live music, art glass, family days, country fairs, trivia nights, bush dances and many more. We are a community with a lot to offer and it pays to endorse what we have.
Enjoy the holidays and drive safely. Please ensure children have their helmets while riding their bikes and scooters. I have given my children the run down on the rules when crossing the road, a gentle reminder never hurts.
Keep Well To All.
