A taxi driver was allegedly assaulted at about 2.20am on Sunday after an altercation at the rank on Meehan Street. The driver and the offender got into a verbal argument before a physical struggle ensued.

Police are making inquiries into the incident with the view of taking action against the offender.
A 33-year-old man was caught driving with a disqualified licence at 12.20am on Saturday. Police were patrolling Illalong Creek Road at Bookham when they spotted the man in a white Pantec. Checks revealed the Meadows Creek man was disqualified and he was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Yass Local Court on September 8.
A black wheelie bin was stolen from a property on Amaroo Place in Yass between 6pm on July 30 and 8am on July 31. Anyone with information should contact Yass Police.
A Ford Explorer towing a caravan damaged a fuel bowser at the Yass Service Centre at 3pm on Thursday July 30. The caravan bumped into the bowser, causing minor damage when it was leaving the petrol station after the driver had obtained fuel.
