Yass' 2013 Citizen of the Year made a name for himself in town following his 11-year stint as the inaugral manager at Cooma Cottage and his long tenure at Oddfellow's Hall, which he ran as an art studio.
The beloved husband and father was behind the establishment of Classic Yass and YASSarts among a number of other things, and despite leaving Oddfellow's last year, he's remained heavily entrenched in the local community.
It's a community he fell in love with, one that cherished him and one that is poorer without him.
The Tribune will take look back on Kim's life in next Wednesday's edition.
