A number of tools were also taken from the truck, which was parked their over the weekend.

The shed behind Yass Outdoor Power Centre was broken into between 12.30pm on October 3 and 5.30pm on October 4.
They forced entry and while a number of things were disturbed, nothing was taken.
Police were able to send away fingerprint samples for testing and are awaiting the results.
The rear, nearside window of a Ford Courier utility was smashed with a lump of wood at the intersection of MacDonald Street and Waroo Road between 6pm on Friday October 2 and 9am Saturday October 3. Nothing was taken from the ute and police believe there weren’t any witnesses.
A 61-year-old man from the Central Coast driving a white Holden sedan has allegedly failed to give way and collided with 59-year-old Yass woman travelling in a Honda SUV.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Waroo Road and MacDonald Street at 4.15pm on Friday October 2.
Both vehicles were towed and the woman was taken to Yass Hospital suffering from neck pain.
A break and enter occurred at a property in Bowning, while the owners were away, sometime during September.
A large drag chain was taken, as well as around 15 litres of cydectin, to the value of $800 and some ivermectin, to the value of $150. Police continue to investigate the matter.
A Toyota Land Cruiser, which was parked on Mitchell Street in Yass, had its rear window smashed at about 11pm on Monday September 28.
The owners of the 1994-model four-wheel-drive heard a loud smash and came out the front only to see person running towards Grand Junction Road. They weren’t able to provide police with a description of the offender.
Police continue to investigate the matter and urge anyone with information to contact the Yass station.
A man, who had left his car parked on Comur Street overnight, woke on September 29 to find that the two rear tyres of his Lexus had been slashed.
The sedan was unattended from 6pm Monday September 28 until 8.30am Tuesday September 29. Anyone with information should contact Yass Police Station.
A man, aged in his 30’s, has failed to pay after staying for four nights at the Yass Motel. The man had previously provided a credit card number but he left on Sunday September 27 without checking out.
His credit card was then declined and he still owes $578 for the room and $200 worth of cleaning bills.
He has been contacted by police but has failed to make promises to pay. Inquiries are continuing.
A 54-year-old man was caught by the RMS driving a Hino Goods Van without a licence on Sunday September 27 at 10.10pm.
He hadn’t held a licence since 1991 and he was stopped for checks while towing a number of horses on Pritchett Street, Yass.
He was conveyed to Yass Police Station where he was charged with Drive While Disqualified and he was issued a court attendance notice for November 3.
Six bushwalkers went missing near Wee Jasper for a number of hours on Saturday September 26.
The walkers, who had just split from another group earlier in the day, planned to walk from Billy Grace Reserve to Log Bridge Campground. The group didn’t carry maps or conduct checks and they carried 15 litres of water for the 12 kilometre hike.
They set off at 12.20pm with the view of arriving at Log Bridge at 4.30pm. At 2.43pm a parent of one of the walkers received a text message saying everything was going well and they were running on time.
At 4pm a father of one of the walkers drove to the pre-arranged pick-up location but soon realised that the track they were on didn’t actually go to Log Bridge Campground. After an hour of trying to find them he reported the matter to police.
After speaking with police the local ranger set out to find the group but as it was getting dark he had to return.
At 8.45pm the ranger station was contacted by walkers and they said they’d been out of phone reception. After providing a detailed description of their surroundings the ranger located the group at about 10pm. They were returned home safe and well.
The local park rangers will now speak with the SES about the signage in the area and they’ll discuss ways to improve it.
A man had around $40 cash stolen from his wallet after he dropped it at Woolworths recently. The wallet was handed into police around one hour after it was lost, but it had no cash in it.
Police quickly asserted that the person who handed the wallet in hadn’t stolen the money.

A 38-year-old man was caught driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.250 after he was stopped on Yass Valley Way near Grand Junction Road on September 24.
Police were conducting mobile breath tests when they pulled the provisional-1 driver over at about 1.20pm. He was driving a maroon Ford Falcon station wagon at the time.
After he registered the reading his licence was immediately suspended and he was given a court attendance notice and charged with Drive with High Level PCA.
Police have found condoms, cigarette butts, bottles of beer and discovered minor damage inside the pool residence located at Yass Memorial Swimming Pool.
The offender/s forced entry inside the small dwelling sometime between March and September this year.
There was also damage done to the telephone outlet inside the small building.

A young person set a wheelie bin on fire at Joe O’Connor Park at about 11am on Monday September 21.
The fire quickly spread and became a small grassfire but Yass Fire and Rescue attended the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
The young person was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
After a string of infringements, a 22-year-old man has been charged with Not Complying with the Provisions of Keeping a Declared Dangerous Animal.
After his rhodesian ridgeback staffordshire bull terrier cross was declared dangerous, the dog was seen on Friday August 28, Monday August 31, Monday September 5 and September 13 not properly kept.
At 1.50pm on Friday August 28 the man was seen walking his dog without a lead or a muzzle; at 4pm on Monday August 31 the dog was seen out the front without a chain or a muzzle; at 1.40pm on Monday September 5 the dog was seen on a lead but not muzzled and on September 13 at 2.30pm the dog was again not chained or muzzled outside his premise.
There was a break and enter between 8.15am and 9.30am on a property in Brennan Street on Monday September 21.
Around $5000 was taken as well as some jewellery, which included a gold watch.
