An alleged Kings Cross drug dealer known to local users as "Mr Ice" has been charged after police say he supplied the drug on at least 146 occasions over a three-week period.

Police will allege in court that the 52-year old man was the primary supplier of methylamphetamine, or ice, in the Kings Cross area and was well known among users there.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said officers from the Kings Cross Local Area Command formed a strike force in September to investigate the ongoing supply of ice in the area.
On Wednesday afternoon, following a surveillance operation, officers arrested the 52-year-old man on Darlinghurst Road in Kings Cross.
When officers searched the man, he was allegedly carrying an amount of prohibited drugs.
The man was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with the ongoing supply of a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Central Local Court on Thursday.
